Ever Wonder What Your Best Psychic Sense Is for Opening to the Spirit World?

For years I never thought about what psychic sense I used most to communicate with spirits. My ability to communicate with spirits was just naturally there. Then one day, I realized that if I knew my best psychic sense for making the connection, I could enhance this ability and be even better and more confident in bringing in spirits.

Mediumship and Psychic Skills are Intertwined

Firstly, Mediumistic skills are like any other intuitive skill. Moreover, it’s crucial to know that everyone has inherent spirit communication abilities to some degree. Not surprisingly, many individuals have experienced some sort of contact with the spirit world at some point in their lives. However, they may not realize at the time this is happening.

With this in mind, these skills can be developed and refined into a consistent set of reliable steps for making spirit contact through practice and experience.

Even more notably, spirit contact events, whether by intent or happenstance, can occur in various ways. For example, naturally occurring Spirit contact events may present as an intuitive feeling, a gentle touch, noticing a familiar aroma, or a strong sense that there’s a spiritual presence close by.

So, whether you want to contact someone you know in spirit, help others by giving spirit messages, or learn your best Mediumship psychic sense, there are numerous psychic development techniques that anyone serious about spirit communication can master.

How Spirit Connections Take Place?

As mentioned, while everyone can connect with the other side to some degree, various individuals seem more open to these connections than others. And, they’re intensely aware of when these visitation connections take place. Why? Because they’ve learned what their best Mediumship psychic sense is and when it’s being activated.

In the mediation below, you’ll be meeting a spirit visitor. Most importantly, it’s best at this time not to call in someone that you desperately want to communicate with.

Even more importantly, doing this may hold you back from accomplishing the point of the exercise. The reason? If a recently departed loved one does come to you, this may cause overwhelming emotional feelings and interfere with the learning process. You can always communicate with this loved one later. Gently let this individual go for now, and then ask for someone else to come to you. It could be a spirit guide, an angel, or someone you’ve not met before. Now, let’s begin the exercise.

How to Determine Your Best Mediumistic Psychic Abilities

  1. Find a secluded place where you won’t be interrupted. Then, take three deep relaxing breaths through your nose and out your mouth. Focus on your first breath to clear your body. Next, use the second breath to free your mind. And finally, allow the third breath to free your spirit essence. This will cause you to be more open to the Spirit World.
  2. Now, consciously form the thought: “This is my time to be one with the energetic powers of the universe and for these energetic powers to be one with me.”
  3. Equally important, now set an intention for making spirit contact using all your psychic senses.
  4. Your next step is to see yourself sitting on a bench in a beautiful garden. Surrounding you are vibrant flowers and trees. The air smells fresh and clean. You are confident that you are highly protected in this garden and that only friendly spirits can connect with you. You are now ready to receive a spirit visitor!
  5. In the distance, you notice your spirit visitor approaching. Allow your first psychic sense, which has naturally activated, to open more fully. What do you notice first? Is it a voice, a sound, a tingly feeling that the spirit is present? Perhaps you’re aware of a pleasant scent. What do you notice first? File this revelation away in your conscious awareness.
  6. Now, welcome your spirit visitor and communicate with them using the psychical sense that activates first and feels most natural.

 Start Doing This:

  1. Now push this psychic sense, meaning that you place an intense focus on it to utilize it to the fullest capacity that you are capable of at this time.
  2. If nothing happens and you begin to feel frustrated, this is a crucial indicator that you are trying too hard. Clearly, your rational mind is trying to take over. If this occurs, back away and repeat this part until you are loose and relaxed once more.
  3. Next, choose another psychic sense. For example, if the initial sense that activated was clairaudience (the psychic sense of clear-hearing), choose clairvoyance (the psychic sense of clear-seeing). Concentrate on perceiving visual images associated with your spirit visitor in your inner mind.

Rather than focusing intensely on the images, let the pictures appear and leave as they naturally come into your mind. Often, the visual images first perceived are fragments or bits and pieces of something. This is common for novice mediums. Soon, images perceived will become more fully formed and clearer.


Your Spirit Visitor Is Patiently Waiting

  1. Right now, your spirit visitor is patiently waiting to give you a message. Mentally ask them to give you their message. You’ll know right away the primary psychic sense that you perceive the message with. Is it through clairvoyance (seeing), clairaudience (hearing), clairsentience (feeling), or claircognizance (a knowing)?
  2. At first, these steps may seem somewhat complicated. But if practiced enough, you’ll begin to rely on the psychic sense that is initially activated. However, understand that this sense may change to another specific sense over time. Why is this? Because it’s due to the fact that when working with activating your psychic senses, they’re continually growing and evolving.
  3. When the message feels complete, gently release the concentration that you’re using to activate your psychic sense.
  4. Now, return to the sense that was first activated and use it to communicate a heartfelt thank you and say good-bye to the spirit who came to you.
  5. Finally, take another three deep and slow breaths through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
  6. Now, open your eyes and touch something to ensure that you are fully awake and aware of your surroundings. Wriggle your fingers and toes if you wish.

In conclusion:

Please don’t be discouraged if, at first, the meditation yields little to determine your psychic senses’ current strengths. However, if practiced a few times, you’ll soon learn which particular psychic sense for making spirit contact is best to focus on. Elizabeth Owens, in her book, “How to Communicate with Spirits,” states that everyone must develop in his or her unique way. I agree with this statement.

A gentle reminder: If you become frustrated, the process will stall. Keep at it, and soon, you’ll have the knowledge of which psychic senses work best for you at this time.
