Tip No. 1: Meditation
Focus on each chakra during meditation. An easy way to go into meditation is to first focus on your breathing. Listening to your breathing going in and out lets you quiet your busy mind and prepares you for the next step. Next, visualize the color associated with each chakra, starting from the root chakra (red) to the crown chakra (violet). Spend a few minutes on each, breathing deeply and imagining energy flowing through them.

Yoga became a significant part of many people’s lives in the U.S. during the mid-20th century, with major growth starting in the 1960s and 1970s. Toning involves using your own voice to create deep, resonant sounds that align with specific chakras.
- Use long, continuous vocal tones, focusing on the chakra you want to heal. Just take a deep breath before starting.
- You don’t have to be an experienced singer; the goal is to feel the vibration of the sound in your body, especially in the area of the chakra.
- You can ‘tone’ the seed sounds (e.g., LAM, VAM) or create any sound that intuitively feels right for the chakra
